Cleveland Browns Sign Rookie QB Spencer Sanders to Four-Year Deal
The Cleveland Browns have officially signed quarterback Spencer Sanders to his rookie contract, the team announced this week.
- Sanders, selected No. 144 overall in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, agreed to a four-year deal worth $4.6 million.
- The contract includes a $447,380 signing bonus, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.
The former Oklahoma State and Ole Miss signal-caller enters a crowded quarterback room in Cleveland. The Browns are reportedly planning an open competition at the position, giving Sanders a legitimate shot at earning the starting job.
Sanders will compete with third-round pick Dillon Gabriel, veteran Kenny Pickett, and Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco for the top spot on the depth chart.
With Sanders now under contract, the Browns have signed four of their seven 2025 draft selections as offseason activities ramp up.
