The Las Vegas Raiders are entering a bold new chapter following the hiring of veteran head coach Pete Carroll and the acquisition of Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith from the Seattle Seahawks. After a disappointing offensive performance in 2024—ranking 28th in points per game (18.2) and 27th in total yards per game (303.2)—the team is focused on revitalizing its attack.  To help elevate the offense, Mark Stolte of Pro Football & Sports Network predicts the Raiders could pursue six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen, who remains a free agent. Stolte emphasized the urgency of surrounding Smith with top-tier talent: "The Las Vegas Raiders need to surround Geno Smith with some wide receiver talent quickly," Stolte wrote. "Paying him this money and leaving him to throw to just Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers with a poor offensive line will leave him in a situation much worse than he had in Seattle." Allen, who spent the 2024 season with the Chicago Bears, posted 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven touchdowns across 15 games—respectable numbers despite a drop in production. A change of scenery and pairing with a veteran QB like Smith could rejuvenate his career. Even with those 2024 stats, Allen would likely become a top option alongside Jakobi Meyers and ahead of second-year wideout Trey Tucker, who logged 47 receptions, 539 yards, and three touchdowns last season. Financially, the Raiders are well-positioned to make a move. With $43.1 million in available cap space—second-most in the NFL—they could easily meet Allen’s projected market value of $11.1 million annually, according to Spotrac. As Las Vegas looks to reshape its identity on offense, signing Keenan Allen could be a game-changing addition for the Silver and Black.
